Edmonton Transit provides customer focused, safe, reliable and affordable public transportation services that link people, jobs and communities. Light rail transit, or LRT, is provided by an above and underground train network that connects passengers to 7 transit centres and other major destinations at 15 stations located throughout Edmonton. The trains are accessible, with ramps at accessible car doorways, priority seating areas with wider aisles, and space for customers using wheelchairs and scooters or other mobility devices. Each train is also equipped with accessible door buttons and emergency call buttons. Station and service announcements are also provided on each train via audio or LED signs to ensure customers with visual or hearing disabilities can receive the information they need for their trips.
